Roots and Bones

I have dug as deep as this world does allow
No I will not bow to no man, no how
Standing as tall as the graceful birch
The forest is my only church
Roots deep to the core
Oh how I want so much more
This world is far too small
For someone who has climbed the great wall

I feel the empty that lies between spaces
With a tingle in the deep dark places
Where bones crack and grow
This I truly know:
Only in the darkest hour
Do the true find their own power.
